If you haven’t had a chance to read my post on the Caulfield Cup then visit the page here. I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and organise a shoot with Bianca Lamont, a brilliant Melbourne photographer I met via Pedestrian TV. I have always loved fashion, I have got it wrong and I am sure I will continue to get it wrong and that’s okay but I think I got it right on this occasion. But you be the judge?
Like many girls I have insecurities so to organise a shoot like this and share it with the world is big for me.
Do I think I am model material? Absolutely not. I must say I do have a new appreciation for models after this shoot. Do I think anyone can do a street style inspired fashion shoot? Yes, I honestly do. I just challenged myself and went ahead with it and am pretty happy to share the below photo with you.
Bianca was very patient with me and made me feel very comfortable and understood what I wanted out of this shoot. I also had my mum along, being silly and making me laugh. Check out Bianca’s work here. Thank you B!
I wanted to keep this shoot as real as possible and do my hair and makeup myself as I will be doing all my own hair and makeup looks myself for the up-and-coming race days and feel like the majority attending will be in the same boat.
Dress: Mura Boutique size 10 $69.00 shop here
Headpiece: Purchased in America from Forever 21 only $4.90 USD.
Bag: Not practical but super cute. I thought it was a horse but it’s actually a unicorn which I found in Caesars Palace in Vegas just at a gift store, around $35 USD.
Shoes: Old pair of Tony Biancos I purchased in May for $159.95 style Lovinia. Range of colours available shop here
Rings: Sample stock I bought whilst ordering from my range, under 50c for two.
Tan: Vani-T shop here
My overall look is an affordable option for Caulfield and would also be a great Oaks day look.
I am very proud of these images and cant wait to show you the second look I put together over the coming weeks.
Big thank you to Moonee Valley Racing Club for allowing me to use your beautiful racecourse for my first shoot.
