My interview with Rozalia Russian

Rozalia Russian is someone I simply look up to, not only is she is the owner of her successful blog & online store, she is also a young mother, a wife and has over 100k followers on Instagram(and even does her own house keeping!). I am obsessed with her daily looks and down to earth personality. Enjoy our interview below.

How long has your blog been live?

My Blog has been up and running for around 3 years, and my online store has been going for 4 months.

Before blogging what did you do for work?

I used to work at a Kindergarten working with special needs children. However once I got pregnant I unfortunately had to stop as the risk was too high in case I came in contact with whooping cough, or measles etc. Previously I had studied advertising and marketing along with working with child modelling agencies and in fashion. So an office job was never something I wanted to pursue. Being able to work for myself and work from home is super important to me as it allows me to spend as much time as I can with my daughter.

Who is your biggest style inspiration?

When it comes to a style business sense, I would have to say Tom Ford. I find him extremely fascinating. He has had some real highs and some real lows and built himself up again. I love hearing stories about people who work hard and think outside the box. It is so easy to just follow what other people are doing in style and in business. However, I am more interested in working and creating something that makes people step back and think ‘oh wow I wish I thought of that.’ Tom Ford is the perfect example of this.

It is so refreshing to see a young mother balance wifey duties, being a mother and running an online shop/blog and still look so great. How do you balance it all?

Organisation is the key. My weeks and days are all planned out and I stick to a schedule. Having family who help look after Willow is also very important. Both my Mother and Mother in-Law are extremely hands on and I could not do it without their help and support. Balancing it all also means making some sacrifices and working hard. This means that as much I would love to just sit on the couch and relax once Willow has gone to bed, instead I am doing emails and packing orders. On the other hand it is also important to have a healthy balance between it all. Sometimes emails can wait if it means that I can take my daughter to the park or the zoo and spend some time with her.

What can we expect to see from you in the next 12 months?

Lots of travel and along with running my online store I will also be venturing into a new field that I have never done before. I am super excited about taking on this new challenge with details being released in the next few months.
