MSFW 2016

I was pretty excited to attend my second Melbourne Spring Fashion Week to watch the closing runway show featuring resort. If you’re a little unsure on what resort is, basically its swimwear and holiday attire.

Fashion can be a little unrealistic on the runway sometimes so it was wonderful to see great wearable items this time round.

Designers on show were CAMILLA,  Camp Cove Swim, Gorman, Lee Mathews, Obus, Stella Jean at Christine, Suboo and Swash at Christine.

So what’s trending?

Colour, ladies (time to update my monochrome wardrobe). Think bold prints mixed together, ruffles, fun accessories, a classic sandal and my new favourite addition to my wardrobe, culottes. I recently bought a pair in Vegas and my partner was a little unsure about them and called me a gypsy! (rolls eyes!) Men hey?

I won’t lie, you do feel a little silly in them at first. But they are so versatile and can be worn casual or dressed up. I wore mine in LA and felt so effortlessly stylish but most importantly, comfortable and ladies you don’t even have to wear spanks with them … massive win I know.

The ending of the show was fabulous, who doesn’t love a Drake track followed by celebrity stalking? I was massive girl-crushing on Isabel Lucas who was in a word, flawless!

It is almost bikini season ladies and most importantly HOLIDAY time is around the corner (#homestrech!). If you’re in need of some inspiration from the catwalk then please enjoy my favourite looks below.

So what did I wear?

As I just got back from the States a day before the show, I was feeling a little more on the heavy side (all those burgers and pizza were worth it though ladies, no guilt here).

Being a Melbourne chick and not wanting to stand out this time round, I thought I would opt for black … so cliche.

I purchased a jumpsuit from Zara whilst I was in the States along with a faux leather jacket from Forever 21, which I had to wear.

I recently saw Kendall Jenner wear a bandana around her neck so thought I would get my supermodel on and recreate the look (it also assisted with covering up my double chin hehe) and it was only $2.99 from an Ebay shop, here.

I really wanted to wear a new pair of heels but the weather was being a bitch so the on-the-go Tony Bianco’s came out to play. Followed by my favourite clutch from The Daily Edited which was gifted to me by Alycha, ( you can catch up on my interview with the founder of The Daily Edited here). My clutch has ZM printed on it … me and the man #saaaaaaacute hey?
