I am so excited to announce that I am now a creative contributor to one of my favourite blogs Who Loves That, massive pinch myself moment! I am such a fan of Emma from her style to her DIY projects to her recent wedding. Emma inspires me when it comes to blogging and now she is kinda my boss! So cool.
I look forward to putting together some fun content for a new audience and working with photographers and creating some magic for you all.
Take a look at my DIY coffee scrub which featured on Who Loves That here. I thought I would also share it below for you to try.
Ladies we all know the benefits of using a coffee scrub. I mean it helps reduce the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks and is the perfect skin exfoliator and makes the perfect bathroom selfie.. Incoming super sexy coffee scrub selfie. Jokes. I’ve already done that along with million other insta loving coffee scrubbing selfie lovers.
Today I’m going to get my Martha Stewart on and show you all how to make your own coffee body scrub with two simple ingredients. Yep two ladies.
WHAT YOU NEED:
1 cup of coffee grounds (took mine from the coffee machine at work)
1 cup of coconut oil I am using H2 coconut virgin coconut oil
Pinch of salt optional.
1. Heat your coconut oil. I just boiled some hot water and place a bowl with my coconut oil on the stove so it can melt just like butter you can also melt your coconut oil in the microwave.
2. Let the coconut oil cool down for around 10 minutes and mix your coconut oil in with your coffee grounds. (I used my hands to get a nice hand scrub while I’m at it)
3. Simply place into a Jar and use as often as you like.
The options are endless: I just used what I could find laying around the house. Who doesn’t have a mason jar handy? If gifting you could go crazy on the styling. A DIY scrub would make such a great birthday gift (Christmas is coming up) simply add a bow and little tag for a budget friendly gift of love. Or you could go pro and properly start selling your own coffee scrub but we wouldn’t want to but Frank out of business now would we hehe?
Tip: I would suggest using your coffee scrub ones a week most importantly enjoy.
