A look back at VAMFF

So it’s that time of the year again where Melbourne’s finest come out to play! Who’s excited for Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival? I sure am! Ever since I was a little volunteer at the festival I just feel in love with the entire event.

Sadly I didn’t apply for media accreditation so I won’t be able to give you any backstage gossip but I will be attending the Next A/W 2017 Runway with my girls. Pretty awesome that this is a free event. Tickets are now all booked out!

As much as I love the runway, the music and buzz! What I love most is the pre-show activities and people watching. Last year I was having a glass of champagne and Nicole Trunfio got a coffee from Lavazza and legit paid for it herself! So crazy. I did even get a little smile from her.

It’s so exciting to see all your fav fashion bloggers in the flesh, literally standing meters away from you. The pre-events are so much fun and try and get yourself a goodie bag from the Priceline marquee. Its worth the wait and who doesn’t love free shit? I am so disappointed Target won’t be putting on a show this year as it was the best show of the festival in my opinion.

I thought it be fun to show you all some looks I put together over the last few years. I don’t think I am a fashion blogger in anyways but like to have a little fun when attending VAMFF.

2014: I purchased front row tickets as it’s always been a ‘dream’ to sit front row. How much? Don’t ask. Was it worth it! Absolutely. It’s hard to sit in any other seat after having the front row experience. My outfit was from Topshop, Bag YSL and shoes Tony Bianco and my glasses were from Miss Shop. I ended up being featured on Buzzfeed’s 19 Fierce Street Styles at the time I had a different Instagram name what an honour to be on that list.

2014: I loved this skirt I purchased from Asos. Slogan top Miss Selfridges. Shoes Wanted Shoes, bag Chanel. I had the worst thing happen to me. So after the show, I was getting photos with Nat Bass, Fifi Box then I was having a chat to Nadia Bartel and all of a sudden I felt something drip down my legs! Mum thought it was fake tan… it was my PERIOD. I literally ran so fast then this pic was taken by Colin, can you see the distress on my face? Thank god for those amazing glasses I found on Ebay. I mean what a nightmare?? Thank the heavens above I am not

2015: I bought these culottes from Boohoo for around $6 and loved them. My top was made by Brisbane designer Suzii K shop here. Shoes from Sportsgirl, bag Chanel. The top knot wasn’t really in those days so I bet everyone thought what’s with this bitches hair. Glasses.. don’t remember.

2016: As I was attending the Target show and their denim range was on show. I wanted to try something from the range. I purchased these denim jeggings for $20 they had an elastic band which held everything in. Top Asos. Bag YSL. Shoes Myer. I had a little nail art with the VAMFF on my ring finger which I thought was pretty kool.

What will I be wearing this year? I am so grateful that Pretty Little Thing will be supplying me with an outfit of choice. I can’t wait to receive it and hope it fits! Will you be attending VAMFF this year?
