They call the kids these days Generation Z, but I reckon it should be Generation S – Gen Selfie.

Everyone is doing it. Even my mum was convinced to take a quick selfie on her iPad the other day after watching Dr Oz. Doctor’s orders, right?

Mastering the perfect Kimmi K selfie is pretty hard. Especially, for me.

Aside from my double chin (lol, all them YouFoodz meals), half the time it’s the lighting that ruins my look. I mean, cmon, all I want is a strobe to hit my contour and highlight PERFECTLY. Is that too much to ask?

As it turns out, it’s not! The lovely folk at Limelyt Case recently sent me one of their sweet cases to help me perfect the elusive blogger selfie.

First impressions: the box is super cute, I do love a ribbon, very Chanel. Hands up who else is a sucker for packaging?!

I received the case and it’s SO cool. (Yep, I just used the word cool. Groundbreaking Zerin.) I’m not ashamed to say I whipped it out at work and started snapping selfies.

I have the iPhone 6 Plus – or as others like to call it, a walking iPad – and it fits perfectly.

How to’ time:

All you gotta do to start capturing your perfect selfie is press the button on the back of the case and pout like your life depends on it.

The LED lighting reminds me of what I would imagine a celebrity’s mirror to look like, all lit up and bright and OH MA GAD there’s my cheekbones.

You can adjust the brightness to suit the level of ‘pizazz’ you’re after – just suss the instructions included.

Check out the before and afters below. Fab for Snapchat, too.

After (Might be to bright for some but I like it that way) highlight without the highlight.

This Snapchat filter is the bomb

I have also used my case as a torch in the dark (double win) and for shooting flat- lays and products as I’m not great at using a professional camera (I know, I’m a bad girl blogger!)

I need all the great lighting I can get, so it’s been a massive help. It also got a lot of love at the club the other night; everyone was amazed by the Limelyt Case!

The downside is you have to charge it – I’m bad enough at keeping my phone alive, let alone caring for another battery-reliant thing! BUT I’ve had it two weeks and I’ve been glued to it, and haven’t had to charge it yet, so it has pretty decent battery life.

I haven’t taken it off my iPhone and it’s simply an accessory you NEED if you’re obsessed with the perfect selfie.

It’s time to light up your life with Limelyt Case so get snapping ladies and fellas!
