Its easy being GREEN

I am so excited to welcome Good Green Box to the beauty box subscription family.

Good Green Box launched in June 2016, and they sold out in record time! Each box is packed with skincare, hair and nail care along with beauty.

For only $25 per month, you get a box full of goodies. I know, I know, the box thing has been done, right? Nope. These are goodies that are actually good for you – with no nasties!

Personally, I’m pretty lazy with keeping up with what is actually in my products I am putting on my body or on my face, so this was great for me. Each month, the products are carefully handpicked by a panel of beauty experts to ensure products are either natural, organic, vegan or cruelty-free.

First impressions

The box was packed to perfection, drenched in green and packed up with recycled paper – and the contents were collectively worth over $65!

I unpacked the box and had a play with all the products over the weekend, so excuse my unmade-up face and messy hair. #SundayFunday and all that.

Ere Perez Beautiful Beetroot Cheek & Lip Tint Joy

I don’t wear blush, even when getting my makeup done professionally – I make it very clear they are not to put any pinks on my face! But I gave this one a try. The red is quite strong. It kinda looked like blood, but when blended in it created a natural flushed stain. I also tried it on my lips as a tint –  if you’re a little scared to try a red lipstick this could be your stepping stone.

The product is 100% natural, vegan, waterproof and long-lasting. No toxins or GMO $29.95/ 10mL

Keeko Oil Pulling

Okay, so I am obsessed with brushing my teeth – I need a new tooth brush once a month and I’m a teeth whitening fiend! (true story) I am a sucker for any new product on the market but I do wonder what exactly I’m putting on my teeth. I have never had a mouth detox so when I tried my Keeko Oil Pulling oil I felt like I was washing my teeth with a bounty bar. I love COCONUT. It was a little tricky to put on my toothbrush, but after a few failed attempts I managed to get scrubbing – or should I say oiling! Basically brush your teeth as normal and spit out after 5-15 mins. To be honest, I’d never heard of Oil Pulling until now. It’s an ancient Ayurvedic routine which whitens teeth and is proven to increase energy levels. Defo worth a shot, right?!

Happy Skincare ‘Cloud 9’ Deep Cleansing Balm

My skin is either dry or oily in winter – thanks skin. Not. This year it’s decided to be extra dry so my skin is not very happy! I have dry patches around my nose, which I hate! I love any product with shea butter in it, and I’ve heard of the many benefits of aloe vera. A perfect combo, right? And it comes in a super cute jar – I’m a sucker for packaging! I used this for three days before bed and my skin has improved – especially those dry flaky bits!

100% natural, 84% organic, vegan, Australian owned and made. Not tested on animals.

Wild Harvest Care Emu Oil

I have never heard of emu oil, this moisturizing oil is so great on my skin especially my arms. At first it’s a little oily, but don’t panic! It absorbs into your skin so great after a bath (Kim K recently admitted she is obsessed with body oils and I can see why!). Emu Oil is one of the richest sources of nutrients for healthy skin, packed full of high amount of vitamins A & E plus Omega 3, 6, 7 & 9. $39.90/

Vegesorb Moisturiser

By this point I was running out of body parts to trial my products on, so I simply used Vegesorb moisturiser on my hands! As I work as a receptionist, I like to have my nails done and my hands looking polished and professional, ya know? Ain’t nobody got time for flaky hands and chipped nails, am I right? So I’ve defo enjoyed these samples in the office. I thought vegetable oil was only used for cooking but Vegesorb uses the moisturising properties to deeply nourish your skin.

$8.95/ 100g –

Overall, I’m super impressed with all my products and look forward to reading up about each in more detail – and of course making some changes to my own skincare routine!

I love subscription boxes as you get a chance to trial of each product and find what really works for you. And you get to fill your drawers with heaps of testers! You can shop all items in this month’s box on the website HERE.

I look forward to seeing what’s in next months box. Make sure to check out Good Green Box here.
