From Mecca to Sephora, to all the amazing beauty counters we have in Australia we truly are the lucky country when it comes to makeup – we’re spoilt for choice.
What frustrates me, though. is going into a makeup store, wanting my favourite Better That Sex mascara or a foundation sample, and being left waiting ages to get served. Worse than that, sometimes I am trying to pick something off the shelves with an army of women in front of me not letting me through. Who can relate?
I was contacted by the lovely people at Adore Beauty, (who must be able to read my mind’s frustration) to review their website.
I have never heard of Adore Beauty to be honest (shame I know). If you’re after skincare, make up, hair products and home, Adore Beauty is for you. The brands are the crème de la crème, from Anastasia Beverly hills to Benefit. I advise y’all to check it out.
The website is user friendly and super easy to navigate. I really enjoyed looking at all the items along with the SALE page – some great bargains on there girls.
I really wanted the Anastasia Beverly Hills palette, but I am still trying to master the contour. The Lancome foundation looked great (and a bargain at $55) but I didn’t know what shade I would be. I really didn’t know what to purchase as I wanted everything but was trying to shop smart.
If you follow me on Snapchat you will see all my blogger mail. Not to brag, but I get sent a lot of makeup! The funny thing is I barely wear any, but since I have been receiving lots of goodies for my blog, I am really trying to master different looks.
PLEASE don’t expect Amrezy perfection any time soon!
Let’s get back on track. With so much makeup, what was I lacking in my kit? Tools! All I have in my makeup case is foundation and bronzer brushes! I feel so pathetic telling you all that. I finally added something to my cart: the ‘Sigma Travel Kit – Mr Bunny’.
As I am going to America soon, I am all about travel friendly shopping. I thought the travel case would be handy to keep everything together, and I finally have proper brushes to apply make up with. Ah, the little things.
The kit comes with 7 brushes for only $122.95. Some brands charge $50+ for one brush, so I really wanted value for money, but still something of a good quality. I read a few reviews online which helped me with my purchases.
I was so excited to receive my order which came a few days later, AND I even got a TIM TAM in it!!!! So cute!
Also, you get to pick two samples on all orders over $50 – how good is that!?
I also received a Jurlique travel size lavender hand cream #spoilt
As for the brushes I choose, I love them and have been using them everyday like a pro.
Would I shop from Adore Beauty again? Absolutely! Who wants to get pushed and shoved in a makeup store? Not me, ladies.
