Get a summer glow in winter

I have always had an item of makeup from Rimmel London in my makeup case since I was in my teens. I love the mascaras and nail polishes from the collection and, let’s be real who doesn’t want to try and look like the-the effortless Kate Moss and get the ‘London look’ – Cliche I know, but had to use the line.

For the makeup amateur like myself (I should give myself a little credit. I did do a cert in hair and makeup in year 11) #diplomabitches

Going from Amanda Bynes to Khloe Kardashian on a Friday evening after a long week was going to take work, ladies. If only Joyce Bonelli could do my make up for me prior to an event I attend!

I think the key to applying makeup is take your time. I am always rushed, so being in a good frame of mind and taking it slow will get you great results, and practice! I have been mixing up my makeup over the last few weeks, seeing what works and doesn’t, and it comes down to practice.

I created a stunning glow I am sure Joyce would be proud of and felt real cute (yep let’s learn to compliment ourselves, ladies) Voila. What do you think of the above look? Want to create my look? Please don’t judge the way I apply my makeup. I am not a pro and don’t follow rules. #rebel

I started off with lining my eyes with liquid eyeliner with the COLOUR PRECISE in black. It dries quick and is sweat and humidity proof – which was perfect as I was hitting a club! After that (deep breaths ladies) I attempted eyeshadow for the first time in forever! I don’t use eyeshadow because I don’t think it suits me. My eyes are too small, and I don’t know how to apply it properly, but my Mum always tells me to use eyeshadow before my eyelids droop!

I used the MAGNIF’EYES DOUBLE ENDED SHADOW + LINER in Queens of a Bronzed Age for my eyelids (chunky tip). I love the colour – it’s so gorge with tanned skin. My eyes were pretty much done, so I moved on to my foundation. I am loving #INSTA FLAWLESS. It’s fairly new to the Rimmel family. So good for those minimal makeup days – it’s basically a tinted primer. I mixed this with LASTING FINISH 25H FOUNDATION WITH COMFORT SERUM in natural beige. I have tried this on its own and didn’t really like it for ‘day makeup’ but it’s so great for night makeup – especially if your spray tanned up.

I used my fingers to apply over my face and neck then used a foundation brush and beauty blender (< still getting used to that one).

After that it was contour time! #OMG I did it using KATE SCULPTING PALETTE.

Instructions on the back, ladies. It’s so easy I loved the highlight along my eyebrow lids and cheekbones. The contour sculptor is also an awesome bronzed colour (I have used this on my lids for another look) -I know look at me, I’m an eyeshadow pro now.  I don’t like blush much, but used a touch of it on my cheeks. This is a pretty new to Rimmel and I love it!

I also added the eyeshadow/liner from before (thin tip) to the inners of my eyes and the corners which made my eyes that little bit bigger.

As for lips I mixed two PROVOCALIPS 16HR KISSPROOF LIP COLOUR that lasted all night.

My face was done and I loved it. My legs did have fake tan on them but from shaving I lost a little colour and looked a little dry, so, I used SUNSHIMMER INSTANT TAN + GRADUAL GLOW.

It took effect pretty quickly. Basically, while I was having a pre drank, my legs were tanning without the harmful UV rays! What a win.

Enjoy a few more images of my makeup look. Pics taken with my iPhone, if the quality isn’t that great.

That highlight
I cant look down and look gorg like the pros but check out my eyeshadow hehe
