I have said it before and I will probably say it again: I am obsessed with candles. I came across ECCA Interiors + Homewares on Instagram. I had the pleasure of Interviewing the lovely Rebecca. ECCA Interiors + Homewares have the most unique fragrance range, from the bakery, to the home, to my favourite; the bar, who wouldn’t want their home smelling like Strawberry Sangria?
How long have you been making candles?
I’ve been making candles for over a year now but due to getting married last year in October and also renovating our house (at the same time) I had to unfortunately put off making them for a bit. But now I am back on board with a new website, along with new collections such as ‘The Essentials’, ‘Marble Collection’ & ‘Soy Wax Shots’.
I am loving the cocktail inspired range, what would be your favourite scent?
I would have to say my favourite cocktail scent is the Pomegranate Martini. All of these scents have been individually selected taking you to your favourite tropical destination, even on those cold winter nights.
Tips on looking after your candles?
My main tips are when you burn your candle for the first time to make sure you burn it until the wax melts all the way to the sides of the jar, this will prevent tunnelling in the candle. Always trim your wick to about 6-8mm before you re-light your candle as this will ensure a long lasting candle, minimise soot and remove any mushrooming of the wick left from the previous burn.
Where do you hope to see your business in the next 5 years?
I would love to have my own store, selling my soy candles and homewares and also offering property styling services.
