If you keep up with Insincerely Her, you would have recently read that my mum took a bag from me! If you missed that post, catch up here. I received an email from the lovely people at Kensington and could not stop laughing when I read that they asked if my mama would like to try a bag! It was so adorable! This time, I stole it from her! Now that’s handbag karma!
Picking a handbag is very tough for me! With all that blogger mail I receive, I need a bag that is big enough in size to not only hold all my mail but my tech goodies. My phone, my Acer laptop, my iPhone charger – you name it, it has to go in the bag! We girls carry everything, don’t we!?
Pinch me—I am living my blog dream! It was another hard day in the office when I was asked to pick a pair of shoes from Butterfly Twists to feature on my blog.
What started as a silly bet in 2007 among a few friends turned into a brilliant business venture; voila, Butterfly Twists was born.
I’m constantly looking for the perfect pair of flats not only for work but also because my fiancé and I are kinda the same height (when I’m in flats), and wearing heels can be a bit of a struggle at times. I personally don’t think towering over your partner is a sexy look, unless you’re throwing back to the Bella and Abel days…
It was another extremely hard day at Insincerely Her HQ when the lovely people at Duo Boots asked me to blog about their gorgeous footwear. #BestJobEver
I was invited to choose a pair of boots of my choice, so I went for the Raven Suede Knee High. A style that, if I’m honest, I haven’t purchased for years simply because I struggle to find the right fit for my calves.
The ultimate blogger accessory for me lately has been an awesome phone case. I’ll be honest, I used to hate phone cases. Abissle had something to do with that. (You will only understand that line if you work with me hehe.)
After a few too many smashed iPhones over the last 12 months, it was time to take action and save the world one iPhone screen at a time.
Those that know me would know I love a beverage or two. I am constantly carrying a bottle of wine (okay, maybe two) when I head round to friends’ houses on the weekend. I also spend my fair share of time in hotels (#bloggerlyf) so I’m always sneaking a bottle into hotel rooms. Ain’t nobody got time for the price of hotel minibars am I right?
A short but rather sweet post of my bunny Christina Grey and I. Featuring the Funny Bunny Brooch from Erstwilder, these pics are tooooo cute not to share!
Can’t handle a real bunny as a pet? (I don’t blame you, they’re crazy!) Well my loves, I have the answer. These gorgeous brooches from Erstwilder are the best way to show your love of animals without, well, chasing them around your lounge room! Shop here.
As I am in my late 20s (cringe) I’ve found myself starting to take more care in terms of the quality of what I buy, particularly handbags. When I was a youngster, I would be buying everything on sale in every colour and style just so I had a massive collection of handbags – tell me I’m not the only one!
If I’m honest, ever since I got engaged I’ve been a little boring in the jewellery department. I used to have so much fun with ‘junk jewellery’ (as my mother would call it), but there is nothing cute about a bluish-green stain around your fingers, ladies. So I chose to stop buying items that will rust that end up in the bin!
So now I just wear an expensive diamond, haha. Such a simple lady that I am, eh? Jokes aside though, he did really well… But as much as I adore my first diamond, it’s time to rebuild my jewellery box with quality, timeless pieces that are still fun.
If you haven’t noticed the monogramming trend over the last 2 years, you’ve definitely been living under a rock. Think The Daily Edited, Mon Purse; even Peter Alexander and Cotton On are on the personalised wagon! Now you know what I’m talking about, surely you’ve seen it on your Instagram feed.?
Uncle Jack watches follow on with this trend being the first brand in the watch industry to offer monogramming. I really am a sucker for anything personalised, but as I am not going to be a ‘Hassan’ forever, I usually choose ZM (M being my partners name). I love that I can look down and see our initials. I am such a cutie, hey!
I had the pleasure of attending the @nextofficial_au runway with my fabulous girlfriends. Let’s just say a delivery stuff up caused me to just throw anything on (yep a jumper, skirt, glasses, and ‘party shoes’ Voila #sofashion #whatthefuckamiwearing
So it’s that time of the year again where Melbourne’s finest come out to play! Who’s excited for Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival? I sure am! Ever since I was a little volunteer at the festival I just feel in love with the entire event.
After seeing Nadia Bartel in the Mirelle Dress by Misha Collection I just feel in love with the detailing of the dress, the gold tones along with the length and not to mention convenient arm straps. My arms might be thin but they are getting cellulite on them (joys hey) as I have no boobs I just look broad in anything strapless (the off the shoulder trend is truly a blessing for my broad sisters out there).
If you haven’t had a chance to read my post on the Caulfield Cup then visit the page here. I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and organise a shoot with Bianca Lamont, a brilliant Melbourne photographer I met via Pedestrian TV. I have always loved fashion, I have got it wrong and I am sure I will continue to get it wrong and that’s okay but I think I got it right on this occasion. But you be the judge?
I am so excited to share this post with you all. Those who know me well know I am obsessed with attending the races. I have been attending the Caulfield Cup over the last few years. A few years back I volunteered with Starlight Foundation and just fell in love with the racecourse. It’s a lot smaller than Flemington and the vibe is a lot more relaxed and fun.
This year I will be attending Ladbrokes Caulfield Guineas Day and Caulfield Cup, a week apart! Apologies to my feet in advance, ouch!
I am so excited to announce my first accessory collection, Confessions – a little tongue in cheek, but also very personal to me. I can’t wait to share it with you guys!
Ladies as you know I don’t usually post about my #OOTD as I am not a fashion blogger but this outfit was a little too cute not to share.
If you haven’t heard about Little Party Dress it’s basically an online retailer that you are going to fall in love with. What was most appealing about this online store is that it’s for women with a realistic figure! Curves and shape you feel me?
Size range starts at 8 and goes up to 16 with all the latest trends at affordable prices.
They call the kids these days Generation Z, but I reckon it should be Generation S – Gen Selfie.
Everyone is doing it. Even my mum was convinced to take a quick selfie on her iPad the other day after watching Dr Oz. Doctor’s orders, right?
Me and fake tan are great mates.
I’ve rocked everything from a tropical glow to Jersey Shore orange in my time. Once I even mistook myself for Bow Wow in the mirror. Legit.
I met him at one of his tour meet and greets and the image of us together is so not cool. (If I ever get famous please do not send that image to Daily Mail!)
I love designer everything. I’m proud to say I’ve worked hard for my designer items in my wardrobe, and they are a result of my own hard graft and not a product of the bank of Mummy and Daddy (unfortunately!).
I’m lucky enough to have been gifted items from Chanel, YSL and Louis Vuitton, but let’s be real for a minute. The rest of my items are from Boohoo, Topshop, Zara, Missguided and good old Kmart. Yerp, I love a bit of #KmartStyling!
No lie, everyone has been obsessed with my $15 jeggings. There’s nothing wrong with pairing high end with low end, girls. Even if you see me carrying a $2k handbag, chances are my pants are under $20. I’m as real as they come.
