Last-Minute Gift Ideas: For The Aspiring Beauty YouTuber

How many of us ladies watch beauty or hair tutorials whilst getting ready for a night out? I absolutely love a tutorial but hate that I have to bend my neck to watch, or hold my phone whilst doing my face with one hand – you’re set for a epic fail on that winged eyeliner, trust me!

Last-Minute Gift Ideas Series

It’s December, and I know you’re being bombarded with #blogmas content and gift guides left, right, and center. But I promise it’ll all be over soon and before you know it we’ll be working on all that Easter content. (Yay, to bunny season!) I wasn’t going to do a gift guide for the above reason, seeing as every blogger is doing it. Saying that – these pics were too gorgeous not to share.

Say HOLA to the NEW HOLA Rose Replenishing Range

When Zerin asked if I could help her with some skincare reviews, I jumped at the chance. Since I reached the ripe old age of 26, skincare has been on my mind almost as often as Connoisseur White Chocolate and Raspberry ice cream – and that means A LOT.

It wasn’t until I looked back at older photos that I realised that my face is actually starting to do that thing you never think it will. Lines that would previously stretch themselves away are hangin’ around a lil bit too long for my liking, and basically I just look a bit crap all the time.

Get the Perfect Festival look this Summer Festival Season

With the weather heating up and summer just around the corner, we could not be more ready to say goodbye to those freezing winter days. From gorgeous frocks, to frosé on the beach, summer has just about everything we can ask for. And to top it off this year’s summer festival line up is one of the best.

Although the international music acts are meant to be a festival’s main attraction, we can’t deny that our main focus is the festival looks that are on show. Festivalgoers go above and beyond to create the perfect look, and no look is perfect without the right makeup.

Whether you want to be a glittering goddess or an indie princess INGLOT Australia have your festival makeup look sorted!

Thunder Thighs 2.0

If I’m perfectly honest, this is a post I have been dreading writing. For those who follow me on social media, you’d have seen me expose my fat to the world. YEP! Over 2k of you have watched me suck my guts and thunder thighs up in hope of reduced fat.

If you haven’t had a chance to watch the video, check it via my Instagram here.

I was so overwhelmed by all the interest and I can’t say I blame you! We all want a quick fix, don’t we?

Thunder Thighs

I am so excited and a little nervous to share this post with you all. I had the opportunity to try out Lipo Freeze at Smart Skin Clinics Coolaroo.

I have my own body demons like many. I have always hated my thighs. I have always been more bottom heavy. My thighs have made me cry. I don’t wear jeans because I feel like I look so big in them. I literally live in leggings and wear the occasional ‘jegging’ but still feel so self-conscious.

After being super jealous of all the gorgeous selfies being posted on my Instagram feed of ladies and gents applying the L’Oréal Paris Pure Clay Masks it was time for me to put this little pot of genius to the test!

I was kindly gifted the L’Oréal Paris Pure Clay Mask – Detoxifying + Brightening Charcoal Mask. I could not wait to apply this to my face. I simply used a foundation brush to basically paint my face. The texture was not as thick as I thought it would be and rather smooth and refreshing.

A Sunday well spent brings a week of content

I was pretty excited when the lovely people at Blys pronounced ‘bliss’ contacted me to have a complimentary massage to feature on my blog.. how could any blogger say no to that? #theperkshey.

It has been around 5-6 years since I’ve shamelessly had my last massage. It’s not that I don’t enjoy a massage. I am always gifting friends and family members a pamper session, yet I won’t book myself one!

Simplicity with Akin

As always, when receiving blogger mail, the excitement is next level and I can’t wait to try my goodies and share them with you guys. Yep, I’ve been blogging for over a year, but I’m still like a kid at Christmas when my blogger mail arrives!

So, what did I get this time?

Breaking news: I have upper lip hair!

OMG! I am human. Who doesn’t have a few little whiskers on their upper lip?! I am sure there are a few – #envy, but not many!

Being half Turkish I have a little hair growth, which I am taking care of with laser. Unfortunately laser on my upper lip has been frustrating, as it’s not taking full effect like it is on the rest of my body. Annoying, I know.

Bhave to the rescue

So, I am one of those people who doesn’t invest in expensive, high-end hair products. I use ‘supermarket bands’ – don’t judge me! I only really buy products when I am getting my hair done. After paying $400 for foils, what’s another $70, right?! So I get sucked in, buy good hair products, promise myself I’ll stick to it, and then don’t! I am sure I am not alone, ladies!

When you love a glass – okay, a bottle! – of red wine, and have multiple cups of coffee a day, your teeth tend to get a lovely yellow glow, right? Who’s with me?

I have had zoom whitening, chair whitening… I am a little obsessed with white teeth. What annoys me is spending so much on my teeth and the result not lasting.

Keep calm with Arbonne

A few years back I had my first Arbonne experience. A friend of mine at the time recommended the brand to me, so I could explore what skincare worked for me, and also trial a foundation.

The consultant basically gave me a week’s sample of the range to try, but barely explained anything about the products or how they would work for my skin. They were messaging me everyday trying to get a sale, but to be honest I was quite put off by the entire experience.

What did I think of the skincare then? In 5-7 days you can’t really tell how a product is on your skin. I prefer to give skincare products around 4 weeks to really get a feel for the product.

That said, I have heard great things about the company, so I think we just got off on the wrong foot.

Sent with love from Emballage

If you follow me on Snapchat (feel free, it’s insincerely.her) you will know that I get a lot of ‘’blogger mail’’. A few weeks ago I received a beautiful package from Emballage (apologies again about the delay, ladies!) This was the most beautiful delivery I have ever received.

What came was a beautiful white box that had my initials and a tassel as the tag, along with a note in a gorgeous envelope. From the box to the ribbon to the personal note, there was only one word to describe my box: luxurious.

So excited to tell you all what was inside!

Oh brother

Firstly, this blog post is dedicated to my older brother Oz. Just recently I tried to explain to him what a blog is. Massive fail. He just looked at me like a stunned mullet and said ‘why would anyone send you anything?’-  little does he know his sister is a Z list socialite hehe.

Jokes aside, as his birthday was coming up I always buy him Adidas clothing or a bottle of JOOP.

Buying gifts is so hard so I’d rather buy him one of those two, as it’s what he likes. No birthday surprise from this sister.

Get a summer glow in winter

I have always had an item of makeup from Rimmel London in my makeup case since I was in my teens. I love the mascaras and nail polishes from the collection and, let’s be real who doesn’t want to try and look like the-the effortless Kate Moss and get the ‘London look’ – Cliche I know, but had to use the line.

For the makeup amateur like myself (I should give myself a little credit. I did do a cert in hair and makeup in year 11) #diplomabitches

From Mecca to Sephora, to all the amazing beauty counters we have in Australia we truly are the lucky country when it comes to makeup – we’re spoilt for choice.

What frustrates me, though. is going into a makeup store, wanting my favourite Better That Sex mascara or a foundation sample, and being left waiting ages to get served. Worse than that, sometimes I am trying to pick something off the shelves with an army of women in front of me not letting me through. Who can relate?

Boots Laboratories Optiva Skincare

I was asked if I would like to get brighter skin in just two weeks… UMM yes please! Especially during winter, ladies.

In the mornings I am freezing, so I am guilty of putting the heater on high all the way to work or having really hot showers. My last post said I would try and stop this bad habit, but some can’t be broken.

My skin has been feeling quite dry and I look drawn out, especially on those make up free days. My eye bags are horrid, so I was looking forward to this little skin challenge.
